BLASTER

If you like old-time Jump 'n' Run- action in true Eighties- Style, Blaster, might be just what you are looking for!

Filled with action and suspence, this game is just right for a little gaming session in between. The gameplay centers on fighting and evading enemies, collecting jewels and other goodies and get the right keys to pass the levels. "Simple and yet addictive" was my guiding principle during development. I'm quite confident that "Blaster" comes quite near. However, many ideas I couldn't integrate into this release, due to lack of time. Also, this was my first project of this scale, so please forgive the occasional bug or missing feature.

"Blaster" contains more than 30 nifty little levels, so it comes in handy that your progress is saved every fifth level. Even after you have passed all levels successfully, there is still the highscore to beat, which is also saved. Please send me a picture of your highscore, I' ll post the highest scores on this webpage.

The many levels require quite different skills, sometimes emphasis is more on action and shooting, other levels require a certain strategie or just plain quickness.
The game is explained through info- screens immediately after start- up and later each new feature or item is introduced before it first turns up in the game.
"Blaster" was developed using the plattform independent Multimedia- Library SDL and is available for Linux as well as Windows.
The game is released under the terms of the GPL (General Public License).
