AHDClient 2.3.5 is out, with Singleplayer and Worldsim in beta
The latest client release puts the full A House Divided experience on desktop, with local worlds, player-paced turns, and a playerless simulation mode to try.
Today we are releasing AHDClient 2.3.5. It is the native client for A House Divided. On desktop, it runs the game locally, lets you choose an era, create a world in its own folder, save it, and advance turns when you choose. The live multiplayer world remains available in the browser and in the client.
AHDClient is free to download for Multiplayer. Sandbox is an entitlement-gated Supporter+ environment, while local Singleplayer and Worldsim require the paid client entitlement.
Singleplayer beta
Singleplayer is a private local world for one player. You can create a character, choose a starting era, play at your own pace, and keep a local save while you learn the systems. Starting a local Singleplayer world requires SP access. The setup downloads the local runtime and database the first time. After that, the world is designed to keep running without a constant connection.
This is a beta. Save behavior, setup flow, and the shape of the local runtime can still change as we bring the desktop experience closer to the live game.
Worldsim beta
Worldsim is a playerless simulation mode. Non-player parties fill the countries, turns move forward on the schedule you choose, and you can watch elections, coalitions, and global politics develop without creating a character. It uses the same local world setup and SP access entitlement as Singleplayer, but it is built for observing the simulation rather than taking a role inside it.
What is in 2.3.5
The latest build improves Windows update visibility and relaunch behavior, adds a 2027 starting era, and gives the era timeline and globe more context. It also pairs with AHDGame 1.8.3 and includes the current local runtime improvements from the client beta work.
How access works
The client download is free for Multiplayer. Sandbox requires an active paid Supporter+ entitlement. Local Singleplayer and Worldsim require permanent access, which is a one-time $20.00 purchase. You can buy it through the Patreon Shop or through the Stripe checkout. The Patreon Shop purchase is permanent and is not a monthly subscription. Steam access is coming soon.
Permanent SP access
Buy permanent access as a one-time purchase in the Patreon Shop or through the Stripe checkout. This is not a monthly subscription.
Supporter+
Includes SP access while the subscription is active.
Supporter++
Includes SP access while the subscription is active.
- Supporter, $4.99 per month: supports the studio and server with supporter perks, but does not include SP access.
- Supporter+ and Supporter++ include a 30-day grace period after a subscription lapses. SP access does not become permanent after that period.
- Worlds already started can continue after an entitlement expires. Starting a new local SP or Worldsim world requires SP access again.
What your support funds: Supporter status and SP purchases help cover multiplayer game maintenance costs, continued game development, and the work to bring A House Divided to more platforms.
We will also distribute limited SP access keys through contests, raffles, and occasional random key drops. Supporter+ and Supporter++ members can use referral codes for 30 days of SP access on up to three distinct accounts. A client access key is not a key to play the free browser multiplayer game.
